Description
The frame of Kietla sunglasses is very light, flexible, and unbreakable. The frame of Kietla sunglasses is made in one piece and contains no screws.
If a child twists the sunglasses’ temples, there is no risk of loose screws ending up in their mouth.
Because children’s retinas are very sensitive, these sunglasses offer high category 3 protection against the sun’s harmful rays.
The sunglasses come with an adjustable strap that can be used to keep the sunglasses on if the child tries to pull them off. The sunglasses are packed in a pouch that can later be used as a pencil case or other holder.
Special features of the sunglasses:
- 100% unbreakable one-piece frame;
- Very lightweight sunglasses (weight 10g);
- Very flexible temples without screws;
- High category 3 protection from harmful UVA, UVB, and UVC rays;

Usage: Although Kietla sunglasses are very durable and the frame is unbreakable, they are not toys. Please ensure that your child does not rub them against stones or chew on them. In such cases, the lenses might get scratched.
Should children wear sunglasses?
Babies’ and children’s eyes should be especially protected from harmful sunlight on hot, sunny summer days, as their eyes have lower protective capacity: a child’s pupil is wider, the lens is crystal clear, and they often look upwards more than adults. Children are at greater risk for sun-induced eye damage.
Do regular dark lenses also protect babies’ eyes?
It is not dark lenses but UV protection that shields eyes from sunlight. Wearing sunglasses with simply dyed dark lenses but without UV protection is extremely dangerous, as the eye’s natural protection—squinting and pupil contraction—does not kick in with a dark lens. Therefore, much more UV radiation can enter the eye compared to being without sunglasses.
