Because children’s immune systems are not yet fully developed, they catch colds much more frequently than adults. Therefore, our little ones often need to fight coughing. Cough can be dry, irritating, barking, or productive.

Unfortunately, it is often also painful. This is concerning for parents and disturbing for the child themselves.

The valuable main ingredients of Broncophen® KIDS, marshmallow root and honey, have a soothing effect by forming a protective layer, thereby calming inflamed throat mucosa. Mucus forms a physical barrier that protects from foreign particles, thus relieving dry, irritating cough and allowing the mucosa to heal.

Broncophen® KIDS effectively and quickly relieves all types of cough associated with colds, being suitable for both dry and productive cough. In addition, Broncophen® KIDS helps protect the oral and throat mucosa from dryness. It is also suitable for voice hygiene while speaking and singing, as the mucus forms a protective coating on the mucosa and alleviates such symptoms as coughing, tickling in the throat, and barking cough.

Broncophen® KIDS is ideal not only for daytime use but also at night. Its soothing effect helps ensure calm and restorative sleep.

Ingredients: 15 ml of Broncophen® KIDS syrup contains: 143 mg dry extract of marshmallow root, 750 mg honey. Other ingredients: xylitol, xanthan, anhydrous glycerol, citric acid, strawberry fragrance and flavoring, methylparaben, propylparaben, purified water. Broncophen® KIDS does not contain artificial colorings, lactose, gluten, alcohol, or genetically modified organisms.

Directions: A measuring cup is included in the package to facilitate dosing.

Children 1 year old: 5 ml up to 3 times daily,

Children 2–3 years old: 5 ml up to 4 times daily,

Children 4–5 years old: 7.5 ml up to 4 times daily,

Children 6–11 years old: 15 ml up to 4 times daily.

Broncophen® KIDS can be taken both day and night.

For best results, Broncophen Kids should be taken as often as recommended.

Warnings

Do not take Broncophen® KIDS if you are allergic to marshmallow root, honey, or any other ingredient of this medical device. In case of an allergic reaction, stop the use of the product and consult your doctor.

15 ml of syrup contains 2.76 g of xylitol. Xylitol provides 2.4 kcal/g. Xylitol may have a laxative effect.

Use in patients with sugar intolerance:

Patients with rare hereditary fructose intolerance or glucose-galactose malabsorption should not use this product, as it contains honey.

Use in patients with diabetes:

15 ml of Broncophen Kids syrup contains 0.3 BU (bread units).

Use during pregnancy and breastfeeding: Not recommended during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Use in children: For children under 3 years, consult a doctor to rule out more serious illness. Use in children under 1 year is not recommended.

Use with other medicines: If you are taking other medications, it is advisable to take them half an hour to 1 hour before or after taking Broncophen® KIDS.

Please consult your doctor: if your symptoms persist or worsen after 5 days, or if you develop shortness of breath, fever, or purulent sputum while using Broncophen Kids.

Broncophen® KIDS contains the preservatives methylparaben and propylparaben, which may cause allergic reactions (also of the delayed type).

Storage conditions

– Do not use this product after the expiry date indicated on the label and packaging. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.

– Store at a temperature up to 25°C.

– Close the bottle carefully after use. Use the bottle contents within 4 weeks after opening.

– Keep the bottle in the original packaging, protecting its contents from light.

– Keep this medical device out of sight and reach of children.

– To protect the environment, ask your pharmacist how to dispose of medical devices you no longer use. These measures help protect the environment.
